Menopausal Issues – Most women will experience the menopause after the age of 40 and will spend a third of their life in this phase. It is a natural and important part of any woman’s life. However, that doesn’t always make it easy to deal with – as the fluctuation of oestrogen and progesterone in your body can cause a lot of change. These changes can affect a woman’s life both physically and emotionally. The most recognisable changes are hot flushes, mood swings and restless nights. But what many people don’t realise is that menopause may also bring anxiety, panic attacks & depression. These changes can have a knock-on affect on our Self-Confidence, Self-esteem, Ability to Cope, Relationships with Partners, Relationships with family and Work Relationships. Decision making can become fragile and sometimes forgetfulness can also be an issue. The decision to begin HRT can be a major decision in a Woman’s life with a lot of negative societal pressure.
